Eric S. Nelson

 Eric S. Nelson is an Associate Professor of Humanities at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He works on Chinese and German philosophy. He is the author of Chinese and Buddhist Philosophy in Early Twentieth-Century German Thought (Bloomsbury, 2017) and Levinas, Adorno, and the Ethics of the Material Other (SUNY Press, forthcoming). He is the editor of Interpreting Dilthey: Critical Essays (Cambridge University Press, 2019) as well as co-editor of five other volumes. He has also edited special topic issues of the journals Frontiers of Philosophy in China and the Journal of Chinese Philosophy.
